Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress, best known for the films Beta Saajan, and Hum Aapke Hain Koun. In the 80s the actress began her acting career and became famous for her role as Tezaab in which she appeared alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapooor. The next film she appeared in was Dil in which she starred alongside Aamir. Born into a Mumbai middle class family and began to dance in her early years. At the age of 16, she began acting and was a victim for a few years due to the fact that her first films were failures. However, she eventually achieved success and became one of the top actresses within the Indian film business. The actress took a hiatus from her career due to her marriage, before going back to the world of entertainment. Recently, she was a key player in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit is nominated to win 15 Filmfare Awards, out of which she won eight. Padma Shri - the fourth highest civilian honor in India is awarded to Dixit. In addition, she is acknowledged for her work in the field of charity.
