Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter from Mexico was born into an affluent family. While growing up, she listened to lots of traditional music as well as old boleros. She also listened to traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana has a passion for Tangos, opera and the various forms of dramatic performing. Her mother taught her how to sing, and she began more intensive vocal training by Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when Belcerra was an internationally renowned Mexican opera tenor. She furthered her training in music through the School of Music of Guadalajara University. She then attended the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was an opera singer in numerous choruses and chamber ensembles. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She also sings in solo Latin American music for private celebrations and in the Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is involved with many local projects, both as a teacher and performer, because of her passion for art and music. Ana is also a past participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for being able to share her love and passion of traditional Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to instill a sense of to, particularly in the younger age group, to help keep the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
