She attended the Bronx High School of Science as a teen. Siff attended Bryn Mawr College, from which she graduated in the year 1996 with a BA in English. After completing her studies at Bryn Mawr College, Siff received her MFA in acting from the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. After finishing her studies and acting experience, she started performing in regional theater. She was awarded the Barrymore Award for 1998 for her performance with the Lantern Theater Company in "Ghosts" in an Ibsen play.
